Compressed air and cleaning

Compressed air and cleaning

I know I have seen all of the little pump setups for cleaning this and recirculating that but I was wondering if there is an issue in using compressed air to push cleaner through beer lines, product tubes in kegs .... The new oil-less copressors do not have the same issues that some of their predecessors did. Would a filter between the compressor and the tank be a good idea? I have a compressor, I do not have a pump. Thoughts?

You could use compressed CO2. I have used this to push cleaner through a draft box http://morebeer.com/search/102233?gclid ... Kgodw1I8IQ.

Forum category suggestion: use this forum specifically for questions and comments about the forum, mailing list, etc. Administrative stuff. Use one of the other forums (Brewing Equipment? Brewing Science and Techniques?) for stuff like this.

It is now. When I made the comment it was in the "Technical Assistance" forum. Admins must've moved it. So technically these last couple posts belong back there.

(Weird, it's in both places. Didn't know that was possible.)

Ah, tricksy admin actions. Good.

Oh, and now that I look, I see that the old location for this (also for the keg purchase in this section) have images noting that the topic is moved to a new category (and if you click to go to the thread, it does actually link you into the new category; the title is in both places, but the thread isn't duplicated).
