Summer 2017 Grain Buy

Hi all. It's been a while since we've had a group grain buy. The guys over at Triptych are open to placing an order for us in the coming weeks. I've attached the old price sheet; prices shouldn't have changed drastically since then, but I will post the new one when I get it from either Anthony or Lyle.

Reply with our order here and I'll compile it into a big group order. When the grain comes in, you will be able to pick it up at Triptych and drop off your money (cash or check made to BUZZ brewclub), or send me a pm and we can arrange for a pickup at either a BUZZ meeting or a dark alley, depending on preference.

A couple of notes: 1) neither Triptych nor I want to be measuring/finding homes for half-bags so if you want to split a bag of grain with somebody please organize with a fellow BUZZ member.

2) the biyearly grain buys are one of the club selling points (besides drinking your fill homebrew each meeting) so it's a privilege we want to keep for due paying members. Obviously we're not going to run down the list and deny you an order but this works on the honor system: if you haven't paid dues yet, please do so soon, either via PayPal or at next meeting.

We'll try to shoot for orders in by the July meeting, yea?

I will take a bag of Thomas Fawcett Maris Otter - TF-MOPA, and a bag of Great Western Northwest Pale Ale - GW-NWP2.
If anyone would like to split a bag or a partial bag, let me know. I am flexible on which company.

What is the status of this grain purchase?

Sorry if this is discussed at meetings, I can very seldom make the meetings.

Hoping to add it to our next order which should arrive next week. With the amount of grain we use now and where we source most of it, it is harder to squeeze small amounts in because we plan multiple pallet orders and a pallet only does about 1.4 batches of beer for us. Thanks everyone for your patience!

The grain is in at Triptych. Please remember to not talk to servers about the grain.

Make arrangements beforehand by emailing Lyle (lyle@triptychbrewing.com) or texting/calling him at 217-419-4410. If you arrive before 5:30pm or so on a weekday, there is a chance that a production employee can help you, but again, the most surefire way to schedule your grain pickup is to talk to Lyle.
