Water in Champaign

I moved to Champaign last week. I'm hoping to get a brew in this weekend, but I was curious if I should avoid using the tap water here, treat it with campden tablets, or if the tap water is typically fine. I ask because my tea this morning has an off flavor that I've noticed in the water.

The water is good, pretty middle of the road for the purposes of brewing, but you do need to filter or treat for chlorine/chloramine depending on the time of year. This is usually the time of year that Illinois American Water briefly switches to regular chlorine.
